Welcome to Edwin's website, there are many like it but this one is mine.

A 3 by 5 random 2D array is mirroed to a five by five array which is then translated to 3D via Away3D. These objects are similar to the little fellas seen in the space invaders game of arcade lore. Easy to to do and a little bit of fun.

Fifteen online banners for iFlyer.  Photograph was sorced from iflyers new party report system,  a hip hop party at club Azure, Osaka. Text reads “Club Event Information”, “Artist / Report / Venue / Cell Phone”. Colors match those used on the iFlyer site. Smaller button banners are inspired by the iFlyer site background.

Hum, just messing around with this one. A photoshop comp at 300dpi. The Kanji looses all meaning when not with up against its counter parts so somewhat fail. Still the effect is very crisp and the grass texture was a good find. With lots of dodging and burning it came pretty well. I need to get a stock photography account so very badly. Producing comps like these are lots of fun but require good stock to shine.

The VLC media player has a nifty web interface used to control playback. The iPhone has wonderful CSS support and a great interface. I wondered if the iPod interface could be recreated in CSS and Javascript. It could to a certain degree. The nifty 180 icon flip was impossible to recreate easily tho. Still, I think it looks pretty close to the real thing.

This is just a graphic production but the guys at Doofer should be producing it soon. Rather than an in depth website it’s more of a catch to tempt punters into using the innovative mobile to blog video technology. The last updates made over the doofer network are displayed in the main column while the blue area at the top of the site is a JS ticker to prompt the user to sign up.

The registration forms in the second shot are pretty nice even if I do say so myself. Lots of JS keeps them easy and interactive.

As I had some free time during December I thought a little charity might be in order. This quick site took a table based design to something a little more classy. The every impressive moo-tools Smooth Scroll class makes navigation doddle and updates much more easy to manage.

Mainline Music was a pitch to Sam Finley as a collaboration between the guys at 77hz and myself. The site was a mix of Flash and HTML powered by a bespoke CMS making use of Flashes superior font handling. A minimal and basic site with a splash of modern technology created site which looked good but cost relativity little to produce.  We missed the contract due to being undercut by a website which consisted of just a couple of static images which were updated monthly. To be honest keeping it very simple is sometimes the best way to go.

The horror of Web2.0. So many speech bubble logos are out there but I must admit I’d only really seen RealPlayer and Adobe use this one. Still, I quite like it even if it is cliched to hell.

This was another freebie. This time for the guys at the United Crates Crew who has a few small hip-hop parties in Shibuya. Business card size it’s a good way to let the organisers promote on a daily basis.

The photo was sourced via Flickr and is under a CC licence. A Korean man looks back at a burning car during the Beef Riots of 2008. Thank you whoever supplied the photo!
